CP-B Microsoft Copilot Short session · 2h Beginner Tailor-made

Build Your First Copilot Agent in Microsoft 365

Copilot can be more than a chat box. In two hands-on hours, build your first no-code Copilot agent — a reusable assistant grounded in your own SharePoint files — with Microsoft 365's Agent Builder, ready to share with colleagues inside your tenant.

About this seminar

Most people meet Copilot as a chat box. Fewer realise they can build their own agent — a reusable assistant with a defined job, grounded in their organisation’s documents — without writing a line of code.

In this two-hour session you build one, using a task you actually repeat. We use Microsoft 365’s no-code Agent Builder: you describe what the agent should do, give it clear instructions, and ground it in the SharePoint files or sources it should rely on. Where the task is simple, Agent Builder is enough; we also show where a more capable tool, Copilot Studio, takes over for multi-step or broadly shared agents.

As in the ChatGPT session, we are honest about how these assistants behave. You draft the agent’s instructions with Copilot’s help, then review, test and tune them on real cases — because first drafts rarely do exactly what you meant, and you remain accountable for the result. Everything stays inside your tenant, which is why this is the right path for confidential work.

You leave with a working agent, tested on your own material, and shared with the colleagues who need it. (A note on history: the older consumer “Copilot GPTs” were retired — custom-agent building now lives in Microsoft 365.)

You will learn to
  • Explain what a Copilot agent is, how it compares to a ChatGPT Custom GPT, and where each fits
  • Build a no-code agent in Agent Builder with clear instructions and knowledge grounded in your SharePoint or files
  • Draft the agent's instructions by meta-prompting, then review and tune them until they behave
  • Share the agent with colleagues inside your tenant, and know when to graduate to Copilot Studio
Programme
  • 01Copilot agents explained — and how they relate to Custom GPTs (and to the retired consumer Copilot GPTs)
  • 02Agent Builder: the no-code path inside Microsoft 365 Copilot
  • 03Grounding an agent in your own SharePoint documents and knowledge sources
  • 04Drafting instructions by meta-prompting — then reviewing, testing and correcting
  • 05Sharing inside your tenant, and when a task needs Copilot Studio instead
